ERRONEOUS  Quranic  9/11 verses again...

Once again an email chain letter is circulating around cyberspace - and helped on its way by hundreds of uninformed Christians, atheists and others.  It involves claims about the Quran (Koran) which are grossly inaccurate and therefore destructive to understanding and fairness.  Some have passed it on with the admission that they didn’t know if it was true because they didn’t have a Quran in which to check it (apparently unaware that there are numerous Internet websites with copies of the Quran available for researching, reading and downloading - or that there are usually copies available in most libraries), and some even admitted not knowing wether or not it was true, but thought it was worth passing on anyway!

The ‘golden rule’, especially for Christians, is that if you are not sure if something is true or not, DON’T pass it on; if you can’t confirm something’s authenticity, DON’T pass it on.  Uninformed gossip (wether verbal or across the Internet) amounts to bearing a false witness - something the Bible forbids!

This email hoax has been circulating since about December 2001, and often comes in this form:

Read all of this one, it is interesting!!

 Near the bottom—the part highlighted in green—will give you GOOSEBUMPS!!!

You don’t want to miss this! ((*_*) )

1. The Garden of Eden was in Iraq
2. Mesopotamia, which is now Iraq, was the cradle of civilization!
3. Noah built the ark in Iraq

5. Abraham was from Ur, which is in Southern Iraq
6. Isaac’s wife Rebekah is from Nahor , which is in Iraq

And you have probably seen this one: Israel is the nation most often mentioned in the Bible.
But do you know which nation is second?
It is Iraq !
However, that is not the name that is used in the Bible.
The names used in the Bible are Babylon, Land of Shinar, and Mesopotamia...The word Mesopotamia means between the two rivers, more exactly between the Tigris And Euphrates Rivers..The name Iraq means country with deep roots.
Indeed Iraq is a country with deep roots and is a very significant country in the Bible.
No other nation, except Israel , has more history and prophecy associated
With it than Iraq
And also, This is something to think about:
Since America is
Typically represented by an eagle.
Saddam should have read up on his Muslim passages ....
The following verse is from the Koran, (the Islamic Bible)
Koran ( 9:11 ) - For it is written that a son of Arabia would awaken a fearsome Eagle.. The wrath of the Eagle would be felt throughout the lands of Allah and lo, while some of the people trembled in despair still more rejoiced; for the wrath of the Eagle cleansed the lands of Allah;
And there was peace.
(Note the verse number!)
This is a ribbon for soldiers fighting in Iraq .. Pass it on to everyone and pray.

All the versions of the Quran we have in our Ministry library refute the hoax email.  The Quran (Koran) Surah 9 vs 11 reads:

But (even so), if they repent, establish regular prayers, and practise regular charity, — they are your brethren in Faith: (Thus) do We explain the signs in detail, for those who understand.  (A.Yusuf Ali Translation)

Yet if they repent, and perform the prayer, and pay the alms, then they are your brothers in religion; and We distinguish the signs for a people who know. (A J Arberry  Translation)

This is nothing like the fraudulent ‘version’ of this email chain letter that’s been circulating  since shortly after the September 11, 2001 murders in the US.

There are a number of websites that examine such hoaxes/urban legends/false claims confirming that this ‘9/11 version of the Koran’ (Quran) is a hoax/fraud, including:;;;

Don’t bear false witness - love your enemies - be Christlike in your relationships and actions. Don’t YOU be responsible for forwarding false email chain letters.
