This is a series of 2 talks by Stephen Cracknell
In the Beginning: Part 1 is a sermon based on Genesis 1:1 "In the beginning, God created the heavens and the Earth." This is not only true but has many implications, even if a person rejects this verse as truth. In fact, an impersonal beginning to the universe poses enormous difficulties to those who hold that view. Positively, though, God created all things via Jesus and for Jesus. How good is that!
(Minor correction: Isaac Newton should have been cited than Johannes Kepler).
In the Beginning: Part 2 is a sermon based on John 1:1 "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God." The Word (Greek: logos) remains un-named until v17 of this chapter. Why does John place such a high significance on 'the Word'? This sermon flows on from Part 1; linking Genesis 1:1 with John 1:1 and giving us an insight into Who was there at the beginning of creation. It's breathtaking to say the least.
