The death of Jesus the Messiah is one of the most written about events in history.
The absolute horror of a Roman crucifixion was intentional - shame the crucified scum and leave them in agony as long as possible.
But history tells us that the Romans crucified thousands of people; why then is the crucifixion of Jesus so significant? Why do Christians make such a fuss about 'the cross'?
Was the pain that Jesus endured more than the physical ... was there intense pain associated with His loud cry, "My God , My God, why have You forsaken me?"
