The Defeated Christian Life mp3

Humanly speaking, what does one do with a defeated and/or failed Christian life?

Last week I drove my daughter’s well-worn 1.6 litre Nissan Pulsar to the car wreckers to see if they would take it off my hands – that’s what we do with a car that has seen far better days.

Is this what we do with a Christian life that has seen better days? Drive it to the car wreckers – so to speak?

Psalm 51 is written by handsome wealthy king who attracted the attention of not a few women; married and unmarried. He had sex with a married woman and arranged for the husband to be 'terminated'. Eventually he was 'found out' and cried out for mercy and forgiveness.

So, did King David 'get off' with just a prayer? Fair question. Please listen to the message and find out...

"I Don't Have Enough Faith To Be An Atheist argues that Christianity requires the least faith of all worldviews because it is the most reasonable.

The authors lay out the evidence for truth, God, and the Bible in logical order and in a readable, non-technical, engaging style.

A valuable aid to those interested in examining the reasonableness of the Christian faith, Geisler and Turek provide a firm challenge to prior beliefs of doubters and skeptics.' Christian Audio

Anita Cobby 30 years on - the human need for justice does not fade

When you think of brutal crimes, several infamous ones mark the Australian landscape: the Port Arthur massacre, Ivan Milat’s backpacker slayings, the Granny killer.

Tuesday, February 2nd, marks 30 years since one such event – the murder of Anita Cobby.

On the anniversary of her death, one of the original homicide detectives reflects on a case which changed the nation.

Love to the Loveless MP3

In your quiet moments, have you ever considered changing jobs?

If so, what would you change to? A biologist maybe? Professional sportsperson? Teacher? The list is endless. What about a prophet? Would that be cool?

What do you think God may command you to tell other people? How about this: “Go, marry a whore, and get children with a whore, for the country itself has become nothing but a whore by abandoning Me.”

That's offensive!! Is it? You better read on and listen to this recent message...

Would my friends truly understand my life changing decision to become a Christian? The "voices" in this song are the voices of those who proclaim the Gospel. (Also, love the dog in this video!!)

'It's All About Him' mp3

It has often been said that “A teacher hasn’t taught until a student has learned,” which is attributed to the famous Christian educator Henrietta Mears - one of the most influential Christian leaders of the 20th Century.

But … I have, over a long period of time, wondered if that statement: “A teacher hasn’t taught until a student has learned,” is actually true.

If we play around with the statement we could end up with something like this:

“The Lord Jesus hasn’t taught until His disciples have learned.”

As Christians we believe that no-one, NO-ONE, in history, nor the present time, is as great a teacher than the Lord Jesus. It’s even still acknowledged in our secular culture that Jesus – at least - is considered a great teacher.

However, when we carefully read the gospels, we read that when the Lord Jesus conducted an assessment of His teaching He gave out, at times, pretty low grades to His students who were enrolled in the “Tradesmen to Disciples 101 Course”.

The world’s greatest ever teacher clearly had a difficult class!!

Slavery, exploitation and human trafficking – many people think these were a problem from years ago, and exist only in history books or epic films of former times.

The sad truth is that there are more people caught in slavery today than at any other time in history. The United Nations estimates that more than 27 million people are enslaved right now, with the majority being women and children, many in sexual slavery.

With over 50 projects in more than 30 countries, Freedom Climb brings hope and transforms the lives of women and children who are exploited, enslaved and trafficked.

Projects supported by Freedom Climb have one or more of three focuses: rescue and rehabilitation, prevention, and development.
